Coming to Visit
Find a church in your neighborhood using either the Google map or your zip code. Worship times will be listed on the church’s website. Usually the earliest service on Sunday morning (7 or 8 a.m.) does not include a choir. There is a wide variety of worship styles in different services. Feel free to try different services at several churches to find one that is most comfortable for you.
Some services will be more casual and have a more contemporary feel, others more traditional, but they will all follow the worship services outlined in the Book of Common Prayer. There are several churches that offer worship with a full choir, others that project prayers onto large screens, some that sing to praise music and even one that meets in a storefront.
Most churches offer adult education and Sunday school for children
Choose a class you would like to visit or have a cup of coffee and meet some members of the congregation. When you visit, be sure to complete a visitor's registration card. We want the opportunity to meet you and help you find a place to serve and be served.
What to Wear
Dress for Sunday morning services ranges from casual or business casual to a suit and tie or dress. Those attending services other than Sunday morning are very relaxed and casually dressed. Nevertheless, come just as you are.
What To Expect
Ushers may help you find a place to sit if it is crowded. If not, sit anywhere you like. Many congregations print the worship service in a leaflet that is handed out at the door. This will list the pages of the Book of Common Prayer and the Hymnal where you can find the full text and music used in the worship service. Some leaflets contain all the prayers and music you need for the service.
