Event Information
The Diocese of Indianapolis is gearing up and getting excited about welcoming everyone to General Convention 2012!
Our diocesan special event is a grand celebration with food, music, dance, interactive learning opportunities, arts and crafts, county fair type games, historical reenactments, race cars and other Indiana sports, and basically LOTS of Indianapolis-themed fun. It will be held directly across the street from host hotel JW Marriott on the concourse at Victory Field, home of the Indianapolis Indians baseball team. "Step Up to the Plate for Partnerships" will celebrate our diocesan partnerships with the dioceses of Bor (Sudan), Brasilia, and Haiti and the entire event will be a benefit for our work with these partners. The celebration will take place immediately following Eucharist on Sunday, July 7, and continue during the afternoon until around 4.
Our diocese is primarily funding this event through a corporate sponsor model, with the prayerful goal of having any profits from the day's sales/activities go directly to Sudan, Brasilia, and Haiti. We are currently offering corporate sponsor opportunities from $100 up and those sponsor opportunities include "perks" such as ad/story space in a Welcome magazine we are producing around the event. We are also offering ad space in the magazine with a variety of sizes and costs available.
