Charts from the Episcopal Congregations Overview

This document (to the left) is the Episcopal Congregations Overview: findings from the 2010 Survey of Episcopal Congregations. It was sent to 1,100 Episcopal congregations, of which 837 responded. The results are representative of all Episcopal congregations in the United States.

The survey on which the report is based was an eight-page questionnaire that included questions on many aspects of congregational life including worship, programs, ministries, mission and identity, constituency and demographics, leadership, context and finances. The repoft contains a wealth of information, but a more detailed summer is forthcoming, along with a new report on factors related to congregational growth.

In addition to the Episcopal congregations taking part in this survey, other religious denominations and faith groups also took part. Overall the survey (Faith Communities Today) was completed by over 11,000 denominations and faith groups.

Please distribute copies to your congregational development officer, and other program staff who might benefit from this research on Episcopal congregations. Additional paper copies are available at no cost by emailing .
