Our annual diocesan convention gathers delegates from every congregation to connect with one another, handle the business of our church life, attend workshops and welcome our visiting guests from our companion diocese, the Diocese of El Salvador.
This year, delegates will vote on the new stratgic plan, and a new proposed governance structure that combines Corporation and Diocesan Council into one Executive Council. Our keynote speaker will be the Rt. Rev. Ian Douglas, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut.
Perhaps the crowning moment of the two-day event is the Saturday morning Eucharist. A diocesan-wide choir leads the worship, while leaders from around our diocese read, pray and carry the liturgy.
An exhibit hall, learning opportunities and a gala dinner ensure that there is something for everyone at our annual diocesan convention. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
