Karen and Chin Refugees

 

St. Luke's Refugee Network helps families who have been displaced by genocide in Burma and Bhutan. Some of the services provided are:

• tutoring for school age children
• clothing
• furniture
• medical appointment translation
• applying for government assistance

 

The Refugee Network tutors children on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00 to 5:00 pm at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Tutors with educational backgrounds are needed, as are funds to pay staff members of this program. To learn more, contact Director John McLevie: 619-283-1337
