Presiding Bishop's Official Visit

Friday, April 4
Site Visits: The Presiding Bishop will be escorted to diocesan ministry sites.
Saturday, April 5
10:00 am Clergy and their spouses are invited to a Eucharist at St. Paul's Cathedral. Following the Eucharist, the Presiding Bishop will address the clergy while Mr. Schori talks with clergy spouses. Clergy and their spouses will come together again for a luncheon in the Great Hall in honor of the Presiding Bishop.
Parking at the Cathedral this Saturday will be congested due to a 5K in Balboa Park. The cordoned area stretches from Laurel to Upas Streets. Please plan extra time to park and walk to the Cathedral. You may park at St. Paul's Community Care Center on the corner of 3rd and Maple. Enter on 3rd and exit on 4th. We strongly encourage carpooling!
3:00 pm Press Conference (for members of the media only).
4:00 pm Bishop Katharine, who oversees the entire Episcopal Church, will speak about her personal faith journey in an address titled, "A Reasoned Faith." She holds a Ph.D. in oceanography, runs daily and flies planes. She'll be with us only once during her nine-year episcopate, so this is our one chance to hear her speak and see her. The public address will be at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in University City, near La Jolla. It is located on the corner of Genessee and Eastgate Mall. (4321 Eastgate Mall, San Diego 92121.) Sunday, April 6
8:00 am Breakfast with Bishop Katharine at St. James, La Jolla.
10:00 am Bishop Katharine will preach and celebrate the Eucharist at St. James, La Jolla on Sunday, April 6 at 10:00 am. All are welcome, but come early to get a seat! Parking at St. James will be limited. There will be a shuttle from the Bishop's School to the church. Bishop's School is located at: 7607 La Jolla Blvd., 92037. Clergy - white stoles, please.
