Refugee Ministry
In collaboration with the Episcopal Refugee Network, St. Alban's opens its doors on Monday afternoons to offer tutoring to refugee children and on Tuesday mornings to offer food distribution, education, and practical help to the refugees in our city. St. Alban's also holds a drive each month to collect items such as clothing, paper goods, furniture, and household items for refugees in need. Parishioners and others volunteer their time throughout the week to offer transportation assistance and crisis intervention.
Kenya Kids
St. Alban's sponsors the work and ministry of a former member, a native Kenyan woman named Hannah Ngige, who runs a program offering support, education, school supplies, and food to AIDS orphans in Kenya.
Homeless Meals at Wells Park
St. Alban's works in collaboration with several other area churches to provide meals for the hungry and homeless in El Cajon on Saturdays at 3:00pm at Wells Park.

Alcoholics Anonymous: call the office for dates and times
Bereaved Parents of the USA: fourth Thursday at 7:00pm in the conference room.
InlandNet: A networking group to help people find jobs and providing counseling. First and third Wednesdays at 8:00am in parish hall.
Parent Advocates Seeking Solutions (PASS): A support group for parents of children ages 15 and older with developmental disabilities. Third Thursday at 7:00pm in the education building, room 3A.
Bereavement Support Group: helps widows and widowers whose spouses have died in the last year. Second Wednesday of the month at 11:00am in the conference room.
Grief Recovery: provides a friendly and understanding environment for those in any stage of grief. First and third Thursday at 9:15am in the education building, room 3E.
Interfaith Dialogue: Explores questions and perspectives among Christianity, Islam, Judaism and other faith traditions. Third Mondays at 7:00pm in the education building, room 3E.
Prayers & Squares: interfaith organization that makes quilts for those in need of prayer. First and third Tuesdays at 6:30pm and fourth Tuesday at 10:00am in the Quilt Room.
Stephen Ministry: trains and organizes people to provide one-on-one Christian care to hurting people. Call the office for more information.
Angel Tree: providing Christmas gifts to children of prisoners. Call the office for more information.
Merle's Place Ministry: prepares and serves home-cooked meals for veterans. Call the office for more information.
Thanksgiving Basket: provides traditional Thanksgiving meal for people in transitional housing. Call the office for more information.
Feed the Thousands: packages non-perishable meals for the hungry in San Diego County and as far away as Tanzania, Africa. Call the office for more information.

The Storefront: provides meals twice per month for youth in Hillcrest.
Bucks for Books: scholarships for books for high school seniors
The Tomorrow Project: a job readiness program for homeless women
Free afterschool tutoring: free tutoring to students from Patrick Henry High School and Pershing Middle School every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon
FISH Senior Transportation Ministry: provide donations, drivers and dispatchers
ISN Rotational Shelter: for homeless men, women and children (for 23 years and counting)

Meals on Wheels: over 200 boxes of necessities delivered each year.
Wounded Warrior Battalion at Camp Pendleton: deliver healthy food snacks 20 times per year.
Prison Ministry: provide monetary, emotional and spiritual support to two incarcerated women on an ongoing basis.
Easter Baskets: for families of deployed Marines; over 80 baskets delivered in 2010.
Christmas Toys: for the children of homeless families; over 100 toys delivered Christmas 2009.
Fall Concert Series: three free concerts for the community each year
Parents' Night Out: four hours of nominally priced child care offered monthly.
Solutions for Change: used books delivered for resale to fund the living expenses of disadvantaged families.
RAD Kids: classes to teach self-defense and safety measures.
Showers of Appreciation: provide baby shower gifts to expectant mothers whose spouses are stationed at Camp Pendleton.
Microcredit in our own Backyard: guidance and assistance to start up businesses for disadvantaged women.
Career Counseling: for Wounded Warriors transitioning into civilian occupations.
Bags of Food: for local food pantries.
