DIRECTOR OF MUSIC/ORGANIST | Good Samaritan, La Jolla
Good Samaritan Episcopal Church is seeking an experienced, motivated, and innovative individual for the part-time position of Director of Music/Organist.
The primary focus of the position is on the importance of music in worship, employing a blend of traditional and contemporary instrumental and vocal music.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A demonstrated mastery of choral technique and choral conducting technique as well as extensive knowledge of traditional, contemporary, and praise worship music
- A demonstrated mastery of organ and piano technique and a high level of general musicianship, encompassing a wide range of musical styles
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others
- Experience in creating and leading music ministry programs

PART-TIME PARISH ADMINISTRATOR | Good Samaritan, La Jolla
Good Samaritan is currently looking for a part time (20 hours per week) Parish Administrator. The person in this position will manage and supervise the overall operations of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the church office to insure that it meets the needs of the clergy, the parish, and the public
• Maintain the master calendar of events and facilities
• Administer church computer system, including security, validation of information, systems upgrades
• Maintain personnel records, supervise payroll, prepare personnel evaluations, and annually review wage and benefits structures for budget input
• Oversee preparation of reports required by the Vestry, Diocese, and State and Federal Governments
• Assist Vestry in budget planning and administration process
Job Qualifications:
• Experience in office administration and supervision
• Demonstrated ability to relate and communicate well
• Computer skills such as 2007 Microsoft Office Suite , calendar scheduling program-Officer Tracker
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all parish financial, personnel, and pastoral records
Salary Range:
$20,000-$25,000 a year
