Congregational Development
Congregational development is the term used to describe the work of building the Body of Christ and providing ongoing support for the mission and ministry of a congregation.
Here you can explore a variety of resources around the Church which can assist your congregation in growing into a healthy, dynamic, Christ- centered community. Watch for updates as new materials and resources come to our attention.
Mutual Ministry Review:
The Mutual Ministry Review process is an essential part of developing a healthy congregational system. Each rector or vicar and vestry makes a commitment to an annual mutual ministry review as a part of their letter of agreement. If you would like to know more about this process, please contact the Rev. Canon Jenny Vervynck at Vervynck@edsd.org or at (619) 291-5947, ext. 311.
Congregational Life Cycle:
Each church goes through its particular life cycle. It’s important to understand those life cycles in order to plan for future growth and to intervene with careful change when the congregation seems to be moving into a declining growth period. For more information about the Life Cycles of a Church, please contact the Rev. Canon Jenny Vervynck at Vervynck@edsd.org or at (619) 291-5947, ext. 311.
